Horrible product! May 28, 2008 Reviewer:  laurie (california)  See all my reviews >

I bought this CD clock for my daughters bedroom to play nap music and bedtime music for about a 40 minutes per day. The CD feature broke after about 3 weeks and then a few weeks later the radio broke too. Save yourself the headache and don't buy this radio.

Complete disappointment May 22, 2008 Reviewer:  Mimi M (MD)  See all my reviews >

I needed a quick purchase for our guest room, and unfortunately chose this CD Clock Radio. I really bought it b/c of the CD player and it (CD player) worked for about two weeks, and then it stopped. Doesn't skip, just flat out doesn't work anymore. Don't waste your money.

MP3 Aux line does not work December 29, 2008 Reviewer:  Cappy (Oregon)  See all my reviews >

I received this as a Christmas gift. At first, I thought it would be great. I could plug in my Zune and listen to it. That worked for 2 days, then the Aux line has malfunctioned. Whenever I plug in the Aux line cord, it shuts the power off to the entire clock radio. The display still shows the time, but there is no sound from the device and the power indicator goes off. You can actually hear everything go dead. I wanted a clock with dual alarms, cd, am/fm, and aux line in. Unfortunately, this one is disappointing.

Problem Free July 17, 2008 Reviewer:  Papa Wonder (Chicago, IL)  See all my reviews >

I've have had this clock radio for over a year and have had no problems. The CD player has never skipped or stopped playing a CD We use it every day when we put our son down for nap or for bed at night. Sound quality is good but not great but what do you expect from a clock radio with small speakers?

Not Worth the Money January 28, 2008 Reviewer:  Anthony's Mommy (Euclid, OH)  See all my reviews >

I bought this item to use in my son's nursery. I bought it mainly for the CD player. I set everything up and started playing a brand new CD. At first, it worked fine...for the first song. Then, during the second song, it started skipping. I tried 3 other CDs and they all do the same thing.

Stupid features December 26, 2008 Reviewer:  sleeper See all my reviews >

I received this as an Xmas present and was kind of excited because I wanted to replace my old clock radio that had a broken minute adjustment button which made it hard to adjust the time with. It was also monaural but it had a pretty good sound despite that. I figured the Emerson would be much better because it was stereo and had dual alarms. I was really disappointed to hear the tinny sound coming from the tiny speakers- my [price] monaural clock radio sounded much better. Also, the usual 9 minute snooze is only 6 minutes on the Emerson----huh- who wants a 6 minute snooze? You might as well not even bother. I haven't tried the CD player yet- which would be the only other reason I might need this; as an extra CD player in the house, but I'm pretty leery after reading the other reviews about how even that broke down after a short period. Another stupid feature of this radio is that you are stuck with waking up to the radio if you use the sleep function. With my old clock radio I could use the radio for the sleep function and still wake up to the more effective buzzer. What were they thinking? I'm going back to my half-price Walmart special. The dual alarm is another plus for the Emerson but it doesn't make up for its other shortcomings.

Short Life December 16, 2008 Reviewer:  KT (Brazil)  See all my reviews >

I have owned this unit for about 2 years and it has worked perfectly. Then last month it started randomly loosing power for a day or two and then return to normal function. Now it is completely dead.

Takes a Licking, keeps on ticking..... September 4, 2008 Reviewer:  DoodleMom (MD)  See all my reviews >

We bought this for our 5 year old 3 years ago when he was waking up too early. It's been knocked off his night table countless times, the CD lid has partially come off, but thankfully snaps back into place, and a few times it seemed as if the CD player stopped working, but magically the next day or so it is functioning again.
If you're looking for a durable, easy to use CD/Clock/radio, this is it. If you want concert quality sound, well, you're not going to get it at this price. Great for a bedroom, kitchen or home office. We have a second one in my daughter's room and are getting ready to purchase a 3rd unit for listening to "books on CD".

CD player doesn't last very long December 8, 2009 Reviewer:  Some Dude (Twin Cities, MN, USA)  See all my reviews >

I've had this for less than a year, and recently the alarm stopped working (on CD Mode). It still seems to work in normal alarm mode, but I paid for the CD player. I could have picked up a normal alarm for much cheaper.

This thing is garbage, avoid at all costs.

Did not work from day one! TERRIBLE product!!!! October 14, 2009 Reviewer:  Mommy of 2 cuties "Amanda S" (Madison, WI)  See all my reviews >

I bought this Saturday (10/10/09) for my son's nursery. We took it out of the box and plugged it in to find that the numbers display for the clock were half missing and not working. You couldn't tell what time it was at all. Then we tried the cd player to find that it also was a dud, would not work at all. So then we tried the am/fm radio to see if that too was a dud and it was. NOTHING worked! I will be returning this for a full refund today. I would ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND this radio to anyone! Total waste of time and money! Very disappointed!
